When I started yesterday day I thought the main thing was going to be us all watching the stock market crash while the tariffs went into place. Which it did a little bit, before Trump backed off.

But the actual news that is kept us glued to our screens is the escalating coup.

Focus on the Autocoup

Some facts:

1) Elon Musk has not been elected, appointed, or confirmed to any Government position

2) DOGE is not a government agency

3) Elon Musk and his aides do not have security clearances to deal with sensitive information

4) Elon Musk’s aides are extremely young men without government experience (age 19-26), one of whom goes by the hacker name “Big Balls”

5) Elon Musk has huge business ties to China and stands to profit billions

6) Elon Musk has personal beef with USAID because it helped bring an end to apartheid, which hurt his family’s finances

7) Elon Musk now has complete control of the OPM/Treasury/USAID/SBA funds and servers, giving him sensitive information about every American, and American business

8) Elon Musk has had every official who stands in his way put on leave or fired, sometimes at the threat of violence, and he has locked the USAID employees out of their building

9) He has also locked out Members of Congress who have tried to access USAID

Opposition’s Response So Far:

1) Senator Schatz (D-HI) has said he will stall Trump nominees until USAID is back

2) A federal judge in Washington says she’s concerned that the White House is still implementing the spending freeze that she and a Rhode Island judge have order temporarily halted. Judge AliKhan is inclined to issue a restraining order.

3) Congress people held a press conference in front of the USAID building
